Taunts are short in-game voiced messages players may send each other. They are available in every Age of Empires game. To activate a taunt, the relevant number listed below must be entered in the chat box.

Used when under the impression that the game is over and the opponent should resign. Dependent on the context can be considered bad manners, because of implied arrogance.
These taunts can also be used for communicating with AI teammates, who will respond accordingly to the taunts (e.g. reporting their current resource count or changing their army composition to focus on the requested unit type).
