Farimba is a technology in Age of Empires II HD: The African Kingdoms that is unique to the Malians and can be researched at the Castle once the Imperial Age is reached. Once researched, it gives +5 attack to Camels, Knights, and Light Cavalry.
Strategy
Farimba makes the Malian cavalry one of the most powerful in the game. Their Heavy Camels get the most attack of any Camel in the game (14), even more than the Imperial Camel. The Malian Cavalier is the best non-unique cavalry unit in the game in terms of attack (19) and the second best overall, only beaten by the War Elephant. If supported by archers, Gbetos, or Champions to counter Halberdiers, a Malian cavalry army can be a great threat to any opponent.

History
In Mali Empire, farimba was the name for military leaders assigned to oversee local rulers and ensure that local policy did not interfere with the emperor's. Farimba kept a small army garrisoned inside the provincial capital and could take over the court if he judged the vassal lord to be out of step.[1]
