Strategy[]

Fūjin focuses on improving the player's cavalry and myth units. Gale's Fury boosts the movement and attack speeds of all cavalry units, while Oni Mask boosts the hit points and training speed of all myth units (excluding Titans). These can be used in tandem with Inari Ōkami's technologies to further strengthen cavalry and myth units, with the former gaining more hit points and a higher damage bonus versus other cavalry, and the latter being able to generate gold when attacking enemy units. Tsukuyomi players can make the most out of the bonuses from Inari Ōkami and Fūjin as his Bushidō bonus boosts the attack of all cavalry units by +3% for every Bushidō tier unlocked. Watatsumi can be selected for the Mythic Age to further strengthen Yumi Horse Archers.

His myth unit, the Oni, is a slow-moving giant that uses a spiked wooden club to crush enemy units and buildings. Their special ability allows them to enter a berserked rage where they deal more damage and attack more quickly with the trade off that they become more vulnerable to damage. The Deadly Rage technology converts them into Oni Warlords, who deal more damage with their attacks and have better hack armor. Onis can be used along with a large group of cavalry units as part of a Heroic Age rush strategy, with the Onis being tasked to destroy an enemy's Town Center and the cavalry units being tasked to take out any enemy units. Players should still watch out for infantry, though, due to their bonuses against cavalry.

The Smiting Gust god power blows away all affected units across the map and can be used for a variety of applications, including displacing enemy units from a location the player chooses to attack and quickly sending the player's own troops back to safety to escape an unfavorable engagement. However, it has no effect on workers.

Mythology[]

As the god of wind, Fūjin is typically depicted with a bag of wind that he can open and use to control its direction. He is also commonly paired with Raijin, the thunder god. Some sources refer to them as twin brothers, while others simply consider them companions.

Fūjin's appearance is particularly fearsome: he has fangs, demonic horns, and clawed hands and feet. He also has green skin, red hair, and typically wears a leopard skin to further emphasize his wildness.
