Extra Hammocks is a technology in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Dock starting in the Castle Age. Once researched, archer ships gain additional crew, allowing them to fire one more arrows in each volley.

Abbasid Dynasty: Research speeds are +15%/+20% faster while Golden Age tiers 2/3 are active. If Preservation of Knowledge has been researched, this technology costs -20%.- Ayyubids: Research speeds are 25% faster while Golden Age tier 2 is active.
- Byzantines: Research speeds are 30% faster per water level at buildings within the influence of a Cistern with the Dialecticus ability active.
- Chinese and Zhu Xi's Legacy: Docks work 10% faster
- Delhi Sultanate: The technology is free, but takes 7.5x as long to research (150 seconds instead of 20 seconds). Research speed can be further increased by 20% for each garrisoned Scholar.
- House of Lancaster: This technology is 15% cheaper if King's College has been constructed.
- Japanese: Research speeds are 125% faster at Docks with garrisoned Yorishiro
- Malians: Technologies take less time to research based on how much gold has been obtained through trade.

- Originally, this technology was exclusive to the Chinese, cost 100 food, 250 gold, researched in 60 seconds, and increased the number of arrows by 2. With the Naval rework, it was made available to all civilizations, its food cost was changed to wood, it needs only half the time to research, and its effect was halved because all archer ships were made equal in statistics. With update 15.1.6970, the cost was reduced to 75 wood, 125 gold, and the research time was reduced to 20 seconds.
