Extensive Fortifications is a level 2 Imperial Council bonus in Age of Empires IV that was introduced in the Season Nine Update 12.0.1974, and is available to the Ottomans.
Once unlocked, defensive buildings and Town Centers are 20% cheaper. All garrison arrows are replaced with crossbow bolts, which deal +1 damage and +2 bonus damage vs heavy units. The technology does not apply to default attacks or Arrowslits. Only additional projectiles from garrisoning units are affected.
