Engineers is a common technology in Age of Mythology that can be researched at the Fortress-type building or at the Siege Works (for the Egyptians) once the Mythic Age is reached. Once researched, it improves siege weapons.
Effects[edit | edit source]
- Gives siege weapons a ×2 attack multiplier against walls; against Gates, only to Catapults, Sitting Tigers, Siege Towers, and Portable Rams.
- Increases the attack of melee and ranged siege weapons by +50% and +25%, respectively.
- Increases the range of Petroboloses, Catapults, Onagers, and Sitting Tigers by +2.
Changelog[edit | edit source]
Tale of the Dragon[edit | edit source]
- Originally, Onagers and Sitting Tigers did not get increased range from Engineers. This was fixed in patch 2.7.
History[edit | edit source]
|“||While early engineers labored to make walls and other fortifications attack-proof for the defender, other engineers were working on the attacker’s side to find better ways to attack fortifications. Siege engineers learned to find weaknesses in enemy fortifications, improve the power and effect of siege weapons, and otherwise prepare the way for an eventual assault.||”|
