Enclosures is a unique technology in Age of Empires IV available to the English that can be researched at the Mill in the Imperial Age. Once researched, each Farm being worked by a Villager generates 1 gold every 6 seconds, or 10 gold per minute.
Enclosures includes the time Villagers are walking.[1] This means the calculations for it are pretty simple.

The technology easily pays for itself very quickly, so it is more of a bonus for playing the English rather than something to consider whether or not to get.
Changelog[]
- Originally, Farmers generated 1 gold every 3.5 seconds. With update 6.0.878, they generated 1 gold every 5 seconds. With patch 12.1.2454, they generate 1 gold every 6 seconds.
