Emplacements are a unique type of upgrade available at the Outpost, Toll Outpost, Wooden Fortress, Keep, Castle, and landmarks which function as such in Age of Empires IV. Upon completion, their effects only apply to the structure they were researched at. The player will have to construct/research the emplacement again at another structure if they wish for that structure to receive the benefits as well. Some buildings may have multiple emplacements, while some emplacements are mutually exclusive.
The following list shows all emplacements available to different buildings across civilizations. Since it is possible that one emplacement may be available to one building but not another for the same civilization, emplacements are listed separately for separate buildings. Landmarks which behave as regular buildings are excluded.
