The Elk is a huntable animal in Age of Mythology and Age of Empires III.
Age of Mythology[]
In Age of Mythology, the Elk is primarily found in Norse lands, and is a common huntable on these maps. Elk do not fight back when attacked but wander away instead. They are a safe means of gathering food and each animal holds 150 food.
In Retold, Odin's Great Hunt god power spawns a pair of Elk if invoked on any location where no wild animals are present.

Trivia[]
- Though long considered the same species as the European red deer, the American elk is now regarded as its own species, Cervus canadensis. Red deer are smaller and with uniform color rather than the elk's paler body (making their depiction in Age of Mythology erroneous).
