El Presidente is an Imperial Age politician in Age of Empires III, available to all European civilizations. As soon as the player advances to the Imperial Age by choosing him, 2,000 coin appears in the Home City shipment point.
Strategy[]
Similar to his Industrial Age counterpart The Tycoon, El Presidente offers a substantial amount of coin, which can be used for several strategies (most prominently mercenaries) or for researching technologies. Technologies in the Imperial Age are quite expensive, and most of them require a substantial amount of coin.
Considering the cost of advancing to Imperial Age (4,000 food, 4,000 coin), aging up with El Presidente is like getting a refund. El Presidente can be used in combination with The Tycoon to get 3,000 coin back (which may be used for two Imperial Age technologies).
The Ottomans and Italians can get better coin crates if they shipped Silk Road or Advanced Politicians, respectively.
