The Economic Wing is an Age-up technology for the Abbasid Dynasty in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the House of Wisdom. It advances the player to the next Age, except when researched in the Imperial Age, and adds +5,000 hit points to the House of Wisdom. Additionally, it allows the research of new technologies.

Strategy[]
Ageing up to the Feudal Age with the Economic Wing lays the foundation for a strong multiple Town Center boom. One of the biggest risks of building additional Town Centers is their large upfront cost, which can be reduced significantly with the Fertile Crescent technology and make Town Centers pay off faster. This also synergizes well with the Fresh Foodstuffs technology, as it also mitigates a portion of the food investment needed to sustain Villager production. The cost of the larger amount of Houses and drop-off buildings that naturally come with a multiple Town Center boom is also reduced, allowing the player to jump to building military or advancing to the Castle Age sooner.
The Economic Wing can also help with transitioning into a mid to late game economy, especially with reducing the cost of Farms needed for a Farm transition later on in the game and improving their output.
