Economic Town Center is a unique upgrade for a Town Center in Chronicles: Battle for Greece, available to the Achaemenids at their Town Centers upon reaching the Civic Age. Once researched, it permanently upgrades that specific Town Center to an Economic Town Center, whose aura enables nearby Villagers to gather resources faster.
The player can upgrade any particular Town Center just once to either an Economic Town Center, Military Town Center, or Defensive Town Center. Once any one is chosen, the option to obtain other upgrades at that building is removed. Different Town Centers can have different upgrades.

Villager (in a radius of 9): +10% gathering speed.- Military Town Center and Defensive Town Center: Disabled at that Town Center.

- With update 153015, Economic Policy takes 50 seconds to research, and Economic Town Centers have 9 aura radius and provide +10% work rate.
