The Earthen Gate is a defensive structure in Age of Mythology: Tale of the Dragon unique to the Chinese. Its purpose is to allow friendly units to pass through walls while keeping enemies out. Units cannot pass through an enemy Gate, even if it is open.

It is upgraded from the Gate when Wooden Walls are upgraded to Earthen Walls.
