The Dromon is a ship in Age of Empires IV: The Sultans Ascend unique to the Byzantines and Macedonian Dynasty that can be trained at the Dock in the Feudal Age. It replaces the springald ship, and shoots Greek fire instead of springalds. This is a burst attack which does area damage in a 10 degree angle from its fire stream.
Ability[]
Man the Sails (Active): Activate to move 40% faster for 10 seconds. The ability deactivates early when dealing damage and has a 1 minute cooldown.- Greek Fire (Passive, requires Heavy Dromon): The Dromon's attack leaves a lingering Greek Fire effect on all buildings and units in the area. This deals an additional 10 damage per second for 14 seconds after the attack, but does not stack with multiple Dromons (similar to the Cheirosiphon's default attack).

- Originally, Dromons moved at 1.375 tiles/s. With update 11.0.782, they moved at 1.5 tiles/s. With Patch 15.2.7380 they move at 1.62 tiles/s.
- Originally, Dromons dealt 6 damage per projectile. With patch 15.2.7380, they deal 7 damage per projectile.
- Originally, Dromons had 3 ranged armor. With patch 15.2.7380, they have 4 ranged armor.
- Since patch 15.2.7380, they deal 3 bonus damage to Incendiary Ships.
