Craftsmanship is a technology that can only be researched in the market once Iron Age is reached. It is exclusive only to Age of Empires. To research this upgrade, 300 food and 120 wood is required. Once researched, the range of all units that fires a projectile increases by one point, with the exception of siege weapons and siege ships. Villagers also benefit from this upgrade as it increases their ability to gather and collect wood. Once the technology is fully developed, the player gains the ability to upgrade a ballista to a helepolis.
