Counterweight Defenses is a unique technology in Age of Empires IV: Knights of Cross and Rose, available to the Knights Templar. It can be researched at the University in the Imperial Age, and increases the number of projectiles launched by all trebuchet weapons by +1, to 3 total. This includes the Counterweight Trebuchet, the Trebuchet Emplacement, and the Venetian Galley. Unlike some other technologies which add projectiles, the extra projectile deals the same damage as the initial two.
