The Content Editor (also called Essence Editor) is an editor for all sorts of content and data for Age of Empires IV, allowing modders to customize a lot of aspects of gameplay. It was released April 7, 2022.[1] It functions both as the Scenario Editor and Genie Editor of the Genie Engine games (Age of Empires and Age of Empires II).
