Consulate unit is a tag from the class system of Age of Empires III, introduced in Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties.
In the game files, they are referred to as AbstractConsulateUnit
. Consulate units are other civilization's unique units that can be trained from Consulate, or unlocked with certain Home City Cards or technologies. All of them are automatically upgraded in every Age-ups, and have +10% hit points and attack bonuses (although they have some exceptions).
Initially, Consulate units are only available to Asian civilizations (Chinese, Indians, and Japanese) through Consulate shipments and armies/units. With the Definitive Edition, other civilizations can also access consulate units through Home City Cards or technologies.
List of Consulate units[]
- Main article: Consulate#Consulate allies: All units trained from Consulate are consulate units (except non-military units).
- Main article: Commandery#Units: All Order units trained from Commandery are consulate units (except Settler Wagon).
