“ | Primordial creation of Nüwa. Gathers resources and constructs buildings. | ” |
—In-game description |
The Clay Peasant is a unique Chinese worker unit in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars available to Nüwa since the Archaic Age through her god power Creation. They are temporary units which return to the ground when the god power's duration ends. Not only do they not contribute to the worker limit, they do not even contribute to the population limit.
Clay Peasants are statistically identical to regular Peasants in all aspects except their hit points and attack. This includes their gather rates, construction rate, and vulnerabilities.

History[]
“ | In the beginning, only the heaven and the earth existed. Discontent with the emptiness of the world, the mother goddess Nüwa used yellow clay to sculpt human beings. After a while, the work became tiring, so she dragged a cord through the mud and shook it. All the clay that fell off the cord became peasants. Some legends suggest that the men and women Nüwa molded by hand became the noble class, whereas the ones who fell off the cord became the working class. |
