The Citadel Gate is a defensive structure in Age of Mythology unique to the Egyptians. Its purpose is to allow friendly units to pass through walls while keeping enemies out. Units cannot pass through an enemy Gate, even if it is open.
It is upgraded from the Fortified Gate when Fortified Walls are upgraded to Citadel Walls.
