Citadel Center is a building in Age of Mythology. Egyptian players can use Sekhmet's god power, Citadel, on any allied Town Center to upgrade it into a Citadel Center. The Citadel Center has increased combat attributes and works faster compared to Town Centers. Like the Town Center, it inherently has slightly improved accuracy against moving units (like partial Ballistics, while researching the technology gives them perfect accuracy vs. moving units) and can shoot arrows at enemies under it without requiring Boiling Oil.
It can research every technology and train every unit that the Town Center can research, and is affected by all technologies and bonuses affecting them as well. This extends to Citadel Centers gained by other civilizations as well, who can train their civilization-specific units from them. It can be repaired at the same cost as a Town Center.
In a certain type of random map called Sudden Death, the player starts off with a Citadel Center rather than a Town Center, which must be defended, for if it is destroyed, the player will lose the match.
Special ability[]
- Trains and researches everything 25% faster (This includes aging up and producing villagers).
Lush (Passive, Gaia only): Spreads Lush terrain, which causes units and buildings to regenerate. With Channels researched, it also increases the movement speed of all ground units by 15%.

- Chinese: Citadel Centers generate Favored Land.

- Hades: +2 range.
- Poseidon: Spawns 8 Militia when destroyed. (since Retold)
- Isis: Provide +5 population space.
- Gaia: Regenerate 1 hit points per second. Grows Lush around itself.
- Fuxi: +300% research speed.
- Nüwa: +1 Favored Land range. Creator's Auspice improves hit points in tiers as the player generates favor.
- Tsukuyomi: Researching technologies grants Bushidō XP.

- Copper Weapons, Bronze Weapons, Iron Weapons: +10% attack.
- Masons: +20% hit points.
- Architects: +30% hit points.
- Signal Fires ➞ Carrier Pigeons: +6 Line of Sight.
- Crenellations: +0.25× damage multiplier vs. cavalry.*
- Ballistics: Can track fast-moving targets. (since Retold)
- Fortified Town Center: +25% hit points, +10 population cap, +2 range, +50% attack

- The Citadel Center has 15 pierce attack and 96% pierce armor. There is only an Egyptian-themed model, even when invoked on a non-Egyptian ally's Town Center.
- Citadel Centers train and research at the same speed as a Town Center.
- Masons reduces the hack vulnerability of Citadel Centers.
Retold[]
- The Citadel Center has 12 pierce attack and 90% pierce armor. There are unique models for each civilization.
- Masons does not reduce the hack vulnerability of Citadel Centers.
- With update 17.27932, Citadel Center attack increased to 15, and accuracy increased from 80% to 100%.
- With update 17.51177, Citadel Centers train and research 25% faster. This was intended to be added with update 17.43876 but was not implemented.
- With update 17.64528, Citadel Center attack decreased to 12.

Trivia[]
- Even though the Citadel god power can be used on allied Town Centers, the Citadel Centers will still have the style of an Egyptian Town Center, though their God Statue will still depend on their civilization and major god.
- In Immortal Pillars, due to a bug, the Chinese Citadel Center does not use its own unique icon, instead reusing the Greek Town Center's icon.
