|“||Villagers gather Wood extremely fast.||”|
Circular Saw is a technology in Age of Empires III that can be researched by European civilizations at the Market once the Fortress Age is reached and Log Flume is researched. Once researched, it allows Settlers, Coureurs des Bois, and Settler Wagons to gather wood 30% faster.
Strategy[edit | edit source]
Although Circular Saw is the most expensive technology at the Market, particularly with its cost of 480 coin, it benefits the overall economy of a civilization in the long run once researched. As the other two resources do not get a third upgrade, this allows the wood collection rate to go from the lowest rate to surpass that of mining. This can permit the long term collection of wood for Plantations and late game Unit upgrades (usually crates are used for quicker expenses such as additional Town Centers).
