Chiyou the god appears as units in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars, in three forms, one of which is only meant for cutscenes in the campaign Pillars of the Gods, where he is an antagonist. The two other forms are described below.

There are two hero forms of Chiyou. They are very similar, except for the special abilities. These units are almost the same size as regular units. These are the forms of Chiyou that appear in cinematics of the campaign, with the exception of the introductory cinematic of the last scenario, where his Titan form appears instead.
Special abilities[]
Note: These abilities are available only to the (Hero)form, and not theSPCform. Fury Smash functions like a charged ability, but cannot be manually activated.
- Divine Immunity (Passive): Cannot be targeted by enemy god powers.
- Fury Smash (Passive): Smashes the ground damaging nearby enemy units.

Titan[]

The Titan form of Chiyou is as large as a Titan, but is far stronger, like other Titan-type units. Despite being a Titan-type unit, his unit icon has the yellow glow used by heroes instead of the green glow used by myth units. This form of Chiyou appears in the final scenario of the campaign, where defeating him is a key objective.
Special abilities[]
- Divine Immunity (Passive): Cannot be targeted by enemy god powers.
- Fury Smash (Charged): Smashes the ground damaging nearby enemy units.
While he does not have the Titanic Statue ability listed, he can walk over water just like the standard Titan.
Campaign appearances[]
- Duel of the Deathless: Chiyou, now enslaved to Huang Zhaowu's will, is released from the God Trap and sent to attack the allied forces of Yan Feifeng. Defeating his Titanic form is an objective in this scenario.

Mythology[]
