Regenerative shield acting as an extra bar of 500 hit points which protects from melee and ranged attacks, as well as non-single target god powers (so it absorbs Lightning Storm but not Bolt). Shield recovers 3 seconds after last receiving an attack, at 5 points per second. When a Chiwen is trained, its shield starts with 100 points.

Chiwen is one of the nine offspring of the dragon. It is a dragon-headed, fish-like creature said to spew water from its wide mouth. Because of this, the Chinese often carve Chiwen's likeness on the roofs of buildings to protect them against fires.

In Chinese, the Chiwen's name can be written as ่ญๅป or ่ฉๅป.
It has a shield meter which absorbs damage until it is depleted, and recharges slowly. This is akin to the projectile shield of the Shrivamsha Rider, the first appearance of such an ability in the series, not counting any spin-offs.
Its in-game Latin scientific name means "Chinese Dragon".
