The Charging Ceremony (Fire Dance before the Definitive Edition) is a ceremony available at the Community Plaza for the Lakota in the Fortress Age. It increases the siege attack of all units, including artillery from TEAM shipments.
With 25 villagers working at the Community Plaza, all units' siege attack damage are increased by 50%. Replacing 10 villagers with 10 Healers increases this bonus to 59%. This bonus is multiplied by the total damage dealt.
Strategy[]
Since the Lakota can't train artillery or any units good against buildings, Fire Ceremony is extremely useful when attacking cities, allowing their cavalry to blitz through the enemies' base and escape from any potential retaliation.
Fire Ceremony is also useful in naval combat, since the Lakota do not have the Water Ceremony. With Flaming Arrows and a full Community Plaza, Lakotan War Canoes will have 195 siege attack damage – significantly higher than most European or Asian warships, and in groups, it can easily handle even the Frigate.
