Spotlight[]
| “ | The Japanese train heroes from their military buildings, each providing a unique type of unit to counter Myth Units. The Bushi is a weaker ranged hero trained at the Guardhouse, capable of striking enemies from a distance with a bow and arrow. The Daimyo is a durable and fast melee cavalry hero trained at the Stable. The Onna-Musha is a melee hero trained at the Dojo. She is slower, but like other Dojo units, she possesses a devastating combat ability that deals significant damage. Lastly, in the Mythic Age, the Japanese can train Onmyōji at their Castle. These sorcerers use magic to attack enemies from a distance and heal allies. They excel against both Myth Units and buildings. |

Strategy[]

The goal of the scenario is to hold out against Magumo's attacks until enough time passes. Harumoto will set up at the western path into the fortress, but he will not last indefinitely and will need help. Right at the start, send Yasuko to the Relic in the north and Sōjōbō to the Relic outside Harumoto's position; both will help in holding out. Though the western Relic is guarded, Sōjōbō should be able to survive long enough to steal it and escape.
Build Castles on high ground positions near each of the gates to act as a heavy fortification, and train additional units to further defend them. Towers can also help, but they are much less durable. Make sure to also have some defenses set up near the walls leading to the player's Town Center for when Yuki-Onna shows up, as she'll easily break through Harumoto's forces. Part of Magumo's forces will include Onmorakis, so the player will need Bushis from the Guardhouse to shoot them out of the skies.
The enemy waves will consist of various myth units, thus making it lucrative to train Onna-mushas, Bushis, and Daimyos to deal with them.
When facing Yuki-Onna, she'll use the Tempest and Frost god powers, which will certainly drag out the fight with her. Focus her down to win the scenario.
