Carronade is an Age of Empires III technology available at the Dock once Colonial Age is researched.
Once researched, this technology increases warship damage by 25%. This is exceptionally useful to ships with high attack such as frigates and privateers. Since the computer does not research this upgrade, it can give the player an edge in naval combat.
