Tactics[]
The Bushi is a ranged hero, which allows him to take out enemy myth units from a distance, as well as flying myth units like the Onmoraki and Stymphalian Bird. His availability in the Classical Age makes him especially important for fighting off enemy myth units and grabbing Relics early on. While the Onna-musha is stronger and also available in the Classical Age, she is also much more expensive and requires slightly more population. In general combat, the Bushi is decent against most infantry units, but will lose to cavalry. He is also vulnerable to units that specialize in countering ranged soldiers, namely the Huskarl and Slinger. As Bushis cost favor, they are also rather costly to lose. Therefore, it is recommended to support them with Naginata Riders to take out enemy ranged soldiers and Yari Spearmen to deal with enemy cavalry.
Players worshiping Amaterasu can fully upgrade the Bushi by Aging up with Minakatatomi, Hachiman, and Ōkuninushi. Minakatatomi's Hunter's Strength and Kumiki boost the Bushis' range and attack and reduces their cost, respectively. Hachiman's Eight Banners reduces Bushis' training time and grants them regeneration, while Golden Kite boosts their attack, especially against myth units. Lastly, Ōkuninushi's Divine Prefecture makes all trainable units, including the Bushi, train faster.
Changelog[]

History[]
| “ | The Japanese term "bushi" translates to "warrior" and is the most appropriate term when referring to a professional Japanese warrior. The term was initially used in the Nara Era (710-784 CE) and predates the more culturally popular concept of the Japanese warrior, the samurai, by a few centuries. Bushi soldiers are associated with "Bushidō" or "The Way of the Warrior," a code of conduct for professional warriors in Japan. Bushidō dictates eight virtues that the bushi were expected to follow: justice, courage, mercy, politeness, honesty, honor, loyalty, and character. | ” |
