This page contains spoilers to the plots of Age of Mythology. |
Boulder and Boulder Rolling Dead are Scenario Editor objects in Age of Mythology which can be seen in the campaigns of the game.
Boulder[]
“ | This giant boulder can be rolled over if it is attacked. | ” |
—In-game description |
Boulder are three types of structures in Age of Mythology. Despite not seeming like units, they are affected by god powers which affect only units and have a speed value stated. They are used in several scenarios of the campaigns, such as Revelation and Beneath the Surface.
Once destroyed, a Boulder falls and becomes a Boulder Rolling Dead, which is a distinct building. In the outro of Beneath the Surface, a falling Boulder is shown to cause Chiron's death. This is done via triggers, as the falling Boulder does not cause any damage by itself.
If the player sets their civilization to gaia (nature) in the Scenario Editor and moves the Boulder, it actually moves on the ground, lying horizontally, until it reaches the target location and becomes upright again.
