The Black Panther is a strong Treasure guardian featured in Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties. They are usually found in groups of two near treasures, but sometimes more. They are of moderate difficulty, as they have a relatively low number of hit points, but can be difficult to kite. Their low attack stat makes them easy targets for melee Heroes.
They can be found in the standard random maps Deccan, Ceylon, Himalayas, Upper Himalayas, Indochina, Borneo, and Honshu.

(female) Diet: Large and small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, domesticated animals The black panther is one of the largest and most agile of the big cats, and boasts the greatest geographic range. It is found in Africa south of the Sahara, as well as in parts of North Africa, the Middle East, India, Asia, and Indonesia. The panther also lived in Europe until around 11,000 years ago, up to the end of the last ice age. The body of a black panther is a perfect combination of the speed and grace of the smaller cats coupled with the strength and endurance of the big cats. A solitary, nocturnal creature, the black panther hunts my sneaking up on its prey and then striking with a powerful bite. Up until the twentieth century, many believed that the black panther and the leopard were two separate species, but they aren't โ the black panther is actually a leopard. Nevertheless, most people still refer to black leopards as "black panthers." |
