The Vegetarianism technology increases the speed of gathering Berry Bushes by 40%. This makes this slow-gathering food source more viable. This is especially useful for the Japanese and Native Americans, who have improvements that increase the collection of food from berries. This can give an early boost to the economy. The yoga technology gives all infantry and cavalry +5% damage, which is useful for all civilizations, especially those with strong cavalry and infantry. The effect of this technology is particularly good for mercenaries, due to their high attack damage.
The Tiger Claw and War Elephant are fast, and deadly against light infantry. The War Elephant excels at destroying buildings and massacring foot archers and skirmishers, and its high hit points and ranged resistance make it a powerful unit, especially for civilizations with powerful cavalry (such as the Germans, Lakota, and French). The Tiger Claw is a cheap fast shock infantry unit that can be produced in large quantities and is extremely effective against light infantry. With the Reinforced Gauntlets technology, they get +50% hit points, making them more useful on the battlefield. In general, this minor civilization provides a more efficient food economy, it reinforces all cavalry and infantry, and its two military units cover their needs well.
