Bessian Metalworking is a unique technology in Chronicles: Alexander the Great available to the Thracians at the Fort upon reaching the Imperial Age. Once researched, it grants the Levy line, Lancer line, and Rhomphaia Warriors the ability to strip melee and pierce armor from enemy units with each attack. The armor of the struck target reduces by 1 per attack until they reach 0. Healing their hit points fully resets the lost armor.
The player can research only either Bessian Metalworking or Peltasts. Once either is chosen, the option to research the other is removed.
