Berserkergang is a Norse myth technology in Age of Mythology that is available to worshipers of Tyr and can be researched at the Longhouse. Once researched, it makes Berserks regenerate their hit points when dealing damage to enemy units.
Effects[]
- Berserk: regenerates hit points from 35% of damage dealt to units.
Changelog[]
Age of Mythology[]
- Berserkergang costs 300 gold and gives Ulfsarks +20% hit points and +10% attack.
Tale of the Dragon[]
- With patch 2.7, Berserkergang gives Ulfsarks +15% hit points and 10% attack.
Retold[]
- Berserkergang costs 150 gold and makes Berserks regenerate hit points from 35% of damage dealt to units.
Trivia[]
- Originally, Berserkergang was known as "Regenerate" (according to its icon name) meaning that at one point, the Ulfsarks (or possibly other units, if not even other civilizations) were supposed to be given the ability to regenerate lost health.
History[]
“ | There is disagreement about whether "berserk" referred to "bare shirt", going shirtless, or "bear shirt", wearing a bear skin into battle, in the same way the ulfsarks wore wolf coats. These warriors would enter a rage in combat, where it is said their skin turned aside weapons. Some modern scholars suggest that the berserker rage may have been induced by consuming hallucinogenic mushrooms.
