Baybars (full name: Al-Malik al-Zahir Rukn al-Din Baybars al-Bunduqdari) is a light ranged cavalry leader in the The Sultans Ascend campaign in Age of Empires IV: The Sultans Ascend. He appears as a playable unit in the The Battle of Mansurah and The Battle of Ayn Jalut scenarios.

Unit Description[]

Baybars is essentially a Turkic Horse Archer with significantly increased hit points and ranged attack. Unlike Tughtekin, who is similar in many other aspects, Baybars can attack while moving. His ability causes nearby Turkic Horse Archers to attack faster and slow enemy units. If he falls in battle, he will respawn at the Leader Tent after 60 seconds.
