The Battles of the Forgotten are a series of unrelated campaign scenarios in Age of Empires II HD: The Forgotten. Unlike with most other campaigns in Age of Empires II, the scenarios in this campaign have no true order, instead all being unlocked from the start for play.
In the Definitive Edition, all eight scenarios are now part of the Historical Battles section, along with the Battles of the Conquerors scenarios.

In addition, another scenario, Kaesong (936), was planned, which was meant to be played as Koreans.
Some scenarios are narrated by an external narrator while others are narrated by a secondary character outside or participating to the events.

- This was the second campaign (after Barbarossa) where all scenarios could allow the player to reach the Imperial Age.
