The Barracks in the Archaic Age appears to be based on Greek dark ages period house reconstructions.
Greek[]
The Greek Barracks is an ancient Greek stone structure with simple Doric columns. The Classical Age version has lion statue acroteria, Ionic columns and a painted pediment. It also stores xiphos swords, dory spears and aspis shields decorated with a triskeles, a snake and a gorgon.
Persian[]
The Persian Barracks is a Mesopotamian mudbrick structure with glazed blue bricks in the Classical Age. It features the reliefs depicting Immortals from the Palace of Darius in Susa and lion reliefs from the Ishtar Gate in the Classical Age. It also stores xiphos swords and gerron shields as used by the Immortals unit.
Trivia[]
The Barracks portrait shows anachronistic medieval arming swords due to it being reused from Age of Empires II.
