Chinese Baoleis fire arrows and garrison units. They also train Chinese elite cavalry with powerful abilities.
—In-game description

The Baolei is the Fortress-type building for the Chinese in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars. It trains and improves powerful elite cavalry units. It is cheaper than most other Fortress-type buildings, although it costs more favor than the Atlantean Palace and the Norse Hill Fort. However, it has the fewest hit points, and is tied with the Hill Fort for the lowest base attack.

History[]

A Baolei is a name for an imposing fortress of ancient China. These bastions served various purposes: they were used for observing the surrounding area, acted as central hubs for city defenses, and housed soldiers in barracks. As iconic structures, Baoleis were relied upon as centers of power and protection for large swathes of territory.
