Civilization Technology tree Strategy

The Babylonians were the inhabitants of the Babylonian Empire, which once controlled the region of Mesopotamia at its height. They are a playable civilization in Age of Empires and are primarily a defensive civilization in both land and water maps. They can survive multiple enemy rushes with their increased Tower and Wall hit points bonus. Stone miners work 20% faster and carry +2 stone, and their Priests regain their faith 30% faster, making them a good choice for beginners or those who favor a turtling strategy.

They also can be efficient in the booming strategy as they can wall off, exploiting the defensive bonuses, and boom quietly until they are prepared to take on the offensive.

The area where the Babylonians were located was a key place for trading, which is reflected in their cheaper Market technologies. They also built impressive walls among the cities and are also believed to have made an unsuccessful attempt to quickly build the famous "Tower of Babel"; to reflect this, their Stone mining is more efficient and their walls and towers have extra hit points. Religious learning was common among the Babylonian empires, which is reflected in the faster rejuvenation of their Priests.
