The Army Tent is an unconstructable building in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Return of Rome. Just like Houses, Army Tents provide four population. They can be found in the Scenario Editor and are used in some campaign scenarios.

Their design is based on typical Roman tents that were set up in Castra.

Glory of Greece

• The Siege of Athens: The Spartan camp is composed of Army Tents.

Trajan

• Legates and Legions: Army Tents make up all the camps of the Roman Legions. Dormitian's and Saturninus' bases also contain some Army Tents.
• Roman Repute: Trajan's and Hadrian's camps contain Army Tents.
• Heads Will Roll: Hadrian's eastern camp and Trajan's camp contain Army Tents.
• An Old Enemy: Hadrian's base contains Army Tents.

Pyrrhus of Epirus

• A Second Alexander: Camps of all combatants except for Pyrrhus contain Army Tents.
• The Many Kings of Macedon: Alexander V has Army Camps in both of his camps.
• Pyrrhic Victories: Roman camp in the south contains many Army Tents.
• Sisyphus: The main Roman camp around Beneventum contains Army Tents.

Trivia

• On release, the building used the same icon as the Army Tent in Age of Empires II. With update 95810, the building received a new icon to match its in-game model
