Armored Hull is a technology in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Dock starting in the Castle Age. Once researched, the hit points and the ranged armor of all military ships is increased by 20% and 1 respectively.

Abbasid Dynasty: Research speeds are +15%/+20% faster while Golden Age tiers 2/3 are active. If Preservation of Knowledge has been researched, this technology costs -20%.- Ayyubids: Research speeds are 25% faster while Golden Age tier 2 is active.
- Byzantines: Research speeds are 30% faster per water level at buildings within the influence of a Cistern with the Dialecticus ability active.
- Chinese and Zhu Xi's Legacy: Docks work 10% faster
- Delhi Sultanate: The technology is free, but takes 5x as long to research (150 seconds instead of 30 seconds). Research speed can be further increased by 20% for each garrisoned Scholar.
- Japanese: Research speeds are 150% faster at Docks with garrisoned Yorishiro
- Malians: Technologies take less time to research based on how much gold has been obtained through trade.

- Before the Naval rework, Armored Hull increased the ranged armor of all military ships by 2, cost 150 food, 250 gold, researched in 60 seconds, and was available to all civilizations except the Chinese and Mongols. It was not a prerequisite for any other technologies.
- With update 7.0.5861, the cost was reduced to 150 food, 350 gold, and the research time was decreased to 30 seconds (150 seconds for the Delhi Sultanate).
