Armored Caravans is a unique technology available to the Abbasid Dynasty in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the House of Wisdom (with the Trade Wing upgrade) starting in the Feudal Age*. It grants Traders +3 extra melee and ranged armor, and Trade Ships +3 extra fire and ranged armor.
While in Golden Age Tier 2/3, the research speed of this technology is +15%/+20%, respectively. If Preservation of Knowledge has been researched, this technology costs -20%.

- Originally, Armored Caravans was available in the Castle Age, cost 75 wood, 200 gold, and provide +5 armor. With patch 11.1.1201, it was moved to the Feudal Age, costs 25 wood, 75 gold, and provides +3 armor.
