Athenians, hear me. Themistocles is a paranoid fantasist, who would squander your money on ships to fight the Persians – whom we have already beaten! He spits on your great victory, in his vain desire to be an admiral!
—Commenting publicly against Themistocles in Raise the Sails

Aristides is an infantry hero in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Chronicles: Battle for Greece. He has a unique model. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health.

Campaign appearances[]

Battle for Greece[]

In the The Hot Gates scenario, Aristides is allowed to return by Athens to help fight the Persians and commands his troops from a ship which is actually a renamed Dionysius.

In The Fruits of Empire, he appears in cutscenes and dialogues, lamenting the transformation of the Delian League alliance into the Athenian Empire.
