Aristides is an infantry hero in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Chronicles: Battle for Greece. He has a unique model. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health.
Campaign appearances[]
Battle for Greece[]
- Raise the Sails: He is a political rival of Themistocles who is ostracized in the first part of the scenario.
- Divine Salamis: He commands the allied Greek troops in the battle against the Persian blockades, alongside Themistocles and Polycritus. Unlike the latter two, he is on foot.
- Across the Wine-Dark Sea: He leads the Athenian forces in Cyprus, alongside Themistocles.
- Wrath of the Regent: He leads the Athenian forces assaulting Byzantium, alongside Themistocles.
In the The Hot Gates scenario, Aristides is allowed to return by Athens to help fight the Persians and commands his troops from a ship which is actually a renamed Dionysius.
In The Fruits of Empire, he appears in cutscenes and dialogues, lamenting the transformation of the Delian League alliance into the Athenian Empire.
