This article is about the Scenario Editor only buildings in Age of Empires and Age of Empires II. For the building in Age of Empires IV, see Aqueduct (Age of Empires IV). |
The Aqueduct is a building in Age of Empires II HD: The Forgotten and in Return of Rome. Despite its appearance, units cannot walk through Aqueducts; they are essentially walls. One big difference with walls is that they do not take any anti-building bonus damage, making them much more resilient to siege weapons than most buildings. Aqueducts have no color, so no matter which player owns them, they always look the same.
Age of Empires[]
Aqueducts were imported from Age of Empires II to the Age of Empires mode in Return of Rome. They are not constructible in normal gameplay, but can be found in some campaigns and the Scenario Editor.
Campaign appearances[]
- Heads Will Roll: Three Aqueducts provide freshwater to the central city of Sarmizegetusa under Decebalus, and are targets to be destroyed to weaken the enemy.
- Pyrrhic Victories: An Aqueduct is located near the center of the map going south from a waterfall, going through a Greek settlement.
- Sisyphus: On the same map as the above, the Aqueduct is still in place though the settlement has now been destroyed.
