Alexander (Hero Alexander before Return of Rome) is a hero in Age of Empires. He is based on the famous Macedonian conqueror and emperor who forged an empire stretching from Macedonia to India. He appears in Age of Empires in the eponymous scenario Alexander the Great in the Greek campaign Glory of Greece.

He can only be seen in the Scenario Editor and the campaign game mode. Like all cavalry units, he can move very fast and deals bonus damage to infantry. His stats can be upgraded just like any other cavalry.
