โ | In this beautiful northern wilderness, players begin surrounded by forests, mountains and cliffs overlooking the ocean. This mineral-rich region sports plenty of silver mines, as well as gold mines deposited directly below the mountains. —In-game description |
Alaska is one of 22 single-player maps that were added in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. It is based off of the US State of Alaska.
Overview[]
Alaska is divided into both land and water sections, with the water running along half of the map on the edge. The water is home to fish and reaches past the players' starting Town Center, connecting with a bay in the middle of the players' sides. Meanwhile, the land contains a large amount of coin and a standard amount of wildlife and trees. Mountains can be found in the back and no trade routes exist on the map.
Nootka settlements are located between the two teams, closer to the mountains on the southern portion of the map than to the water on the northern portion of the map. The outlaws available at the Saloon or Monastery are the Comanchero and the Renegado.
Wildlife[]
- Herds: Moose (500 food), Elk (500 food),
