Advanced Defenses is a Chinese myth technology in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars that is available to worshipers of Houtu and can be researched at towers, walls, and Baoleis. Once researched, it increases the damage, range, and Line of Sight of towers and Baoleis. It also enables upgrading wall corners into ranged towers.

Watch Tower and Baolei: +25% attack, +2 range and Line of Sight.- Wall corners can be individually upgraded to towers in 25 seconds (for the full price of a tower).
