Additional Torches is a unique technology available to the Mongols in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Ovoo starting in the Castle Age. It increases the torch damage of all infantry and cavalry units by 3.
Additional Torches (Improved): additionally costs 700 stone, Infantry and cavalry gain +5 torch damage.

- Originally, the research time was 90 seconds. With patch 11.1.1201, it is 60 seconds.
Campaign version[]
Because the original four campaigns have not been rebalanced since the release of the game, Additional Torches has the following difference in those campaigns:
- It researches at the Outpost
- It costs 125 food, 850 gold, and the improved version costs an additional 975 stone and researches in 135 seconds
- It affects the fire damage of ranged units, which for the Mongols can attack buildings and siege using fire arrows by default. It also affects the ranged damage of Mangudai.
