Acclivity is a random map in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Lords of the West.
Description[]
Surrounded by rocky cliffs, players find themselves exposed with only a few resources at their disposal. It is, therefore, crucial to seek out and secure the surrounding heights.
Acclivity features large flat areas surrounding each starting area, with unbuildable slopes leading up to narrow hills dividing each player from each other, as well as the outer edge of the map. Resource distribution is fairly standard, with medium-sized clumps of trees in each lowland area and more around the outer edge. The outer edge of the map has a higher concentration of resources, as well as numerous aggressive animals.
