Trivia[]
- In all previous versions of the game, Aachen Cathedral was the Wonder for the Britons, and was replaced in this role by Chichester Cathedral and rendered unconstructable. This change was motivated by the fact that the Aachen Cathedral is most famously connected to Charlemagne, the founder of the Frankish Carolingian dynasty. Past this point, it would come under the domain of the Germans and would serve as the place of coronation for over thirty German Kings and Holy Roman Emperors during the Middle Ages. As such, the building held essentially no major connections to any of the nationalities that could be connected to the Britons.
